Post Adoption Follow-up
Having served close to 4000 families with their adoptions, CSS facilitates adoptive families and birth families to maintain contact, arrange roots visit and also facilitating the reunions. In addition, we continue to serve those birth families who require additional resources such as subsidies and assistance with day to day living. We ensure the care continues post adoption where necessary.
 
Reunion Meetings
As part of their life journey, adoptees embark on a roots visit for different reasons including seeking out contact and information on their birth family. As part of the very meaningful experience, adoptees find a part of their identity which many feel had been missing from their lives. Facilitating a roots visit requires great skill. CSS assists with experience and expertise. Searching for birth family can take time and during this process the adoptees may experience many emotions. The CSS Roots Team of social workers are on hand to offer support to the adoptees along the journey. It is a great joy to successfully bring adoptees together with their birth families. In sharing this love, we encourage adoptees who are interested in this service to contact CSS in order for us to start the process. Following the visit, CSS continues to facilitate the contact between the parties and follows up on their progress as they move on in life.
