Christmas is a season of joy! It is a time of God showing His great love for us and the time of healing and renewed strength.
Over the past 35 years, CSS has provided services to over 2000 infants, children and their families. In the early years, we helped mostly teenaged unwed mothers and premature babies. Through the years, the social problems have increased and CSS now helps many special needs infants and infants impacted by maternal drug abuse as well as children over four years of age having no stable family. Our mission is to place children in Christian families so that they will learn about the Lord as they grow and will develop a relationship with Him.
“Little Pearl” was found by police abandoned in a ditch, and was brought to us late last year. The hospital records showed she was born weighing only 1.4 kg (3 lbs) and was hypothermic. When we first saw her she was suffering from many health issues due to her premature birth. The staff at Mu En nursery provided her constant care day and night. She went through a number of surgeries and was too weak to eat, relying on nasogastric tube feedings for nutrition. She is over 6 kg (13 lbs) now and is growing and developing normally.
There are always financial challenges for not-for-profit organizations like CSS and the needs today are greater than ever before. Today, CSS is providing care for special needs infants over longer periods of time. Each child has complicated social, medical and legal issues to overcome before they can find their forever family. Our commitment to our mission makes it imperative that CSS raise additional funds to support our work. Please consider making a year-end gift.
Wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
