Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Families with Preschoolers
The parents of preschoolers face many challenges in different areas. The aim is to support and prevent mental health risks, protect or promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing. CSS helps to build positive parent-child relationship and improve parenting skill through counseling sessions/workshops and support groups. This also extends to better relationships between husbands and wives, so that they can be better supported in upbringing their children during preschool period.

Support for Women during Pregnancy and Postpartum
Support pregnant women to ensure a smooth pregnancy and care for their postpartum needs. Through professional depression screening and assessment, adequate counseling sessions and/or support groups, CSS provides support and referral when needed for women experiencing the impact of prenatal and postpartum depression as this situation can lead to a negative impact on the mother's ability to care for her infant. And early intervention reduces the impact in terms of mental illness and can greatly improve infant care.

Support for Newborn Screening for Critical Congenital Illness
Where there is congenital illness, early diagnosis and intervention is paramount to ensure the least impact. Hence, CSS provides the necessary support to parents of vulnerable families getting the suggested screening tests done for their newborns without struggling financially.
